Richie McCaw, troisième-ligne et capitaine des All Blacks, prend sa retraite. La nouvelle est tombée mercredi : à 34 ans, le All Black quitte les terrains de rugby. A son palmarès : deux Coupes du monde et trois titres de meilleur joueur du monde (en 2006, 2009 et 2010) rapporte Radio Australie.
Avant d’annoncer sa décision, il a rendu hommage à son compatriote Jonah Lomu, décédé hier à l’âge de 40 ans. Richie McCaw travaillera désormais comme pilote d’hélicoptère à Christchurch, dans le sud de la Nouvelle-Zélande
